You know what those demonically possessed zombies need? More singing damnit!
This is the best. They took Evil Dead and turned it into a hilarious musical… With blood, guts, and more blood. I’m so ridiculously happy that this exists.
What the F@#k Was That?
That’s was people all over the world have been saying after seeing Evil Dead The Musical… the only musical in the world with a splatter zone.
For those who don’t know, this hilarious live stage show takes all the elements of the cult classic horror films, Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness then combines them to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time.
Here’s a link to the actual home page of the musical if you want to find out more about the actual show. Or buy the soundtrack.
Evil Dead: The Musical
Thanks to Citizen No.1 Ladybelle again for this great find. Really appreciate it.
No shows in Wy, UT or CO though. Once again we are left out of the fun unless we want to travel.
But you could license the show and do it yourself. I’ll happily advertising for you in exchange for a ticket. That would be awesome.
I am in a Uni town. That would be so cool if the drama department could be talked into putting on the production one year. Don’t you have a dramatic arts school in Cedar City? They might be talked into it for “artistic value”
I’m actually about four hours north of Ceder City, or as I like to refer to Ceder City as “The land without Trees.”
We’ve got a tonne of artsy fartsy stuff around me. The problem is that the prevailing culture here is not what I would call “Horror Friendly” so the chances of Evil Dead: The Musical being performed here are not super great.
YOU sir have made me laugh a lot today. I’ll check it out later when I have some free time.
I have actaully seen it and loved it. We sat in the “splatter zone” and let literally drenched in fake blood. It was my birthday present! I have the sound track too.
That sounds awesome. I saw the soundtrack is about seventeen bucks on Amazon.
Is it worth buying for that?
Yes it is! Then you can make up your own dance to “Do the Necronomicon” and put it on YouTube
If I put a video of me dancing up on YouTube I think I would be responsible for a lot of emotional scarring. It wouldn’t be pretty.
If you had the resources to make an animated video, you could have your main characters do a version of the dance.(which I have not seen yet)
I’ve got all the resources except for time. Time is at a premium these days. I need to clone myself so I can get more done.
Maybe get someone else to help you then?
Thats what the CLONE would be for!! DUH
Clones would be sweet, the only problem is that I’m a narcissistic megalomaniac and I would likely have to constantly be crushing my clone’s uprisings.
I might actually be counter productive to clone myself.
I’m talking about someone who is both currently existing AND wouldn’t try to completely replace the original. Also, when was the last time you heard of a human actually being cloned that wasn’t in a movie or comic? Never, that’s when.
That reminds me of a great movie you’ve all got to see. Check out a movie called “The Broken” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0906734/ one of the best and scariest movies if your worried about this type of thing.
Don’t want to ruin it so I won’t tell you anymore about it, but watch it.
