Does smacking someone who is having a hysterical fit ever actually work? Sure it does in the movies, but in the movies falling down a flight of stair ALWAYS results in a broken neck.
So would smacking someone who’s freaking out calm them down or does it instead really really piss them off.
Because if I ever start freaking out and someone slaps me…. maybe it might calm me down. But more likely I’m going to hold a grudge, and when they’re not expecting it, I’m probably going to push whoever slapped me down a flight of stairs.
