Change the music and suddenly a horrifying series about the zombie apocalypse becomes a heart warming family sitcom.
I’m going to sit my little kids down and have them watch “The Walking Dead” now. I think they’re ready.

This looks sooo good. Looks like they are taking it seriously, with scary zombies, drama, and not stupid jokes.
Not that I’m against stupid jokes(it’s what I’m all about actually), but they have to know their place.
I can’t wait to see this.

Okay this is actually and anti-smoking promotion, but I don’t care. I just love the idea of all the pretty twenty somethings on a reality television show being slowly picked off one by one by the living dead. I think watching that would be very… cathartic.
I hate reality TV so much.

I’ve watched these a couple of times now. I love the design and style of “Rotting Hills”
There is so much going for this series, it really is a shame it’s not on the air. TV executives wouldn’t know a good thing if it bit them on the arse and turned them into a zombie.
I watched some horrible 3d cartoon with my daughter over the weekend…. Just terrible stuff. Bad story, design, animation, half-assed 3d work… It really irritated me that it was on and “Rotting Hills” was not.

Cool clip of the Behind the Scenes zombie makeup for “The Walking Dead,” based on the Robert Kirkman zombie comic.
I love this stuff, and find it fascinating how they do the effects and makeup. “The Walking Dead” will premiere on AMC in October 2010 during Fearfest. Frank Darabont directes the pilot episode.

Here’s a handheld version of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” Trailer.
No telling how long before AMC finds a way to pull this, so enjoy it while you can. When they release the official trailer I’ll post that up.
Still desperately want to see this series? Yeah, me too.
AMC unveiled this lovely trailer at Comic-Con 2010. Believe it or not, this is the cut down version because Comic-Con is a “family friendly” event. Cussing is apparently okay.
Variety is reporting that Robert Kirkman’s acclaimed comic “The Walking Dead” has been “greenlit” by ABC to be made into a mini series.
In case you didn’t know “The Walking Dead” comic follows the story of a former cop as he struggles to reunite with his family and keep a small band of survivors safe the relentless horror of the dead returned to life. I’ve read some of the trades and I can tell you that before you watch this series you need to pick up the book. It’s got a great art style done in black and white that’s pretty gritty and believable.
Pretty heavy on the dialogue, but it’s a good read with interesting characters.
I’ll be tuning in to watch this zombie series, because I can’t stand watching any more reality television in any way. Give me more zombies!
