Speaking of awesome. Check out this video clip with all sorts of juicy information on the upcoming game “Dead Island.” The more I see of this game the more excited I am. The couple of zombie concept art pictures are really good.
But what I really want to know is how is it different from “Left 4 Dead,” because till I know more it sounds awfully familiar. He briefly talks about an RPG element to the game and that sounds promising, but when he starts to describe a zombie boss which basically sounds like a boomer?…… k, No, really… how is your game different?
I posted about the previous “Teaser” trailer for “Dead Island” and posted some awesome screen shots for this upcoming game.
Well there is a new trailer out for “Dead Island” and if you like to see zombies in a bikini (and who doesn’t) then it looks like this game is for you. Actually I’m really looking forward to this game. Most zombie games take place in a dark creepy environment that sets the mood for fear. This is going to be a bright sunny game so I’m interested in how they are going to make me afraid.
I guess they could show me how much a vacation to a place like this would cost me…. That would make me tremble in fear. Also… I’m not going to vacation in a place called Dead Island. The tourest board may want to rethink the title of their resort.
Maybe they could call it something pleasent like… Murder island, The island of doom, or possibly “The Island of a thousand painful Rectal probes.” That’s way better than “Dead Island.” That’s just not good business.
Here’s a synopsis about what the games all about, as if you need it. Zombies in a bikini! Nuff said, where do I give them my money now?
Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies await players around every corner while they embark on a variety of thrilling missions through the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition being scarce the player must rely on utilizing found items as weapons for self-defense and fight off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and will later serve to transform the player’s ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction.
In the name of all that is awesome, please somebody turn this into an actual movie.
I like the music from “Return of the Living Dead” on it, nice touch…. especially since the zombies look a lot like the infamous “Tar Man” from that movie.
Brains should always be served Rare..... maybe scrambled.
The good people at Capcom are my Wife’s absolute favorite people. Here’s what happened to me the other night.
Out of a dead sleep (No pun intended) I bolt upright awake to the sounds of zombies attacking. To my bitter bitter disappointment it is not the start of the zombie apocalypse it’s my wife playing “Zombie Café.”
Nursing a no small amount of resentment I ask her in the humblest way possible “What the crap, woman!”
She responds “I’m training my zombie waiters in my Zombie Café. Now go back to sleep.” Then she laughs. This is how life goes in my home.
Here’s a fun bit of news I swear I’ve heard before, but probably forgot about it due to massive head trauma and binge drinking. Undead Labs is partnering up with Microsoft to bring an open world zombie survival game to the XBOX 360.
Does this mean it’ll be one of the long rumored and no show MMO games for the console?
I don’t have a clue, because it’s midnight right now and I’m sleepy…. or possibly drunk… or both.
Here’s a quote from their site.
This is the mother of all zombie outbreaks, the F5 on the Fujita scale, the 10 according to Richter. The end is here, now. Standing against the tide are the survivors, one of whom you choose to control in a 3rd-person action game like no other. Your only quest is one of survival, you define the mission by how you define the word. Many will band together and work to improve their lives by building a society, utilizing skills and training from their former lives to rebuild infrastructure and order. Some will go it alone, preferring to scratch out their own safe harbor. All will have to face the rising tide of the undead, the perfect foe, a relentless enemy. All will fight.
