Racist Zombies leaving the black man alone. Damn you intolerant racist zombies! (shakes fist at the heavens)
You would think that in this day and age when you are thinking of which human you want to tear apart and eat that skin color wouldn’t be a factor. I for one am deeply saddened by this.
On the plus side I’m 1/16th black, do you think that would be enough for the zombies to leave me alone?
I need more zombie musicals. I thought this was very clever and cute. I was also impressed they managed to convey the stereotypical siege scenario with nothing more than a few boards and some zombie hands. Good work.
This is a clip from “The Dead Inside”
To be honest I haven’t talked much about this movie because the premise seamed a bit more like “Paranormal Activity” than anything zombie related. But I liked this zombie clip so much that now I think I have to check it out.
Wes (Dustin Fasching) is a burned out photographer paying the bills shooting weddings. Fi (Sarah Lassez) is the author of a series of zombie novellas called, The Dead Survive. They are lovers who, at one time, were at the top of their creative game, but now have misplaced their muse. When Fi begins to show signs of mental illness, Wes does everything in his power to help her get better. But darker forces lurk inside her, and soon they realize the true horror of the situation. Fighting against a disturbed entity, they rediscover inspiration in the grimmest corners of this musical horror movie.
It also helps that it has a pretty good promotional poster that I like quite a bit.
This was sent to me by Travis. Thanks, man. Very cool.
This Paranorman Trailer looks like really great stop motion animation and a fun zombie comedy. I really liked the movie Caroline and this is made by the same people so I have high hopes that this will be a great film.
I’m a huge fan stop motion animation, but I’d really like to see a behind the scenes look at how this was done. How much of it was done with traditional stop motion techniques and how much is computer generated graphics.
At least the zombie designs look pretty good. And Check out the rockin poster below.
The stop motion zombies look great. I can only hope that they don’t do Paranorman in 3D as I’m getting terribly sick of 3D. I’m not buying anymore of those stupid glasses. 3D graphics looked moderately okay on Caroline, but the problem is they direct the focus of what you’re looking at. A couple viewings of a movie and I just like to check out the background art. With a 3d movie that’s going to give you a raging headache and since I wear glasses they are a major pain to get on my glorious head.
Also It’s also nice to see supernatural zombies for a change, I’m pretty damned sick of viral zombies and I don’t think viral zombie lend themselves well to a zombie comedy. For some reason horrible diseases that turn people into the living dead just don’t strike people as funny.
Now necromancy and curses, that’s comedy gold! If I could raise the dead I’d do it in a heartbeat.
Paranorman Trailer. Norman, better known as Para Norman is a misunderstood and weird boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse. ParaNorman is LAIKA’s follow-up to their Oscar nominated Coraline. Coming August 2012.
Sorry for no comic today, got a bit overwhelmed with freelance work again and couldn’t finish it in time. It’ll be there Friday though and promises to be awesome.
In the meantime, check this out. I am a huge fan of zombie comedies. This is a pretty good trailer I found I’ll have to track this movie down.
“A Little Bit Zombie” synopsis
Infected by a virus during his bachelor party, a mild mannered HR manager attempts to fulfill his overwhelming desire for brains and avoid Max, the obsessed Zombie Hunter hot on his trail. All while keeping it together so as not to incur the wrath of his Bridezilla-to-be.
I hadn’t heard of this movie, but it’s officially on my list of movies to track down. A comedic zombie road trip buddy film. I must possess it.
Besides I love anything done from the perspective of the zombie. There are not nearly enough of those movies and I get just a tad tired watching survivors gradually make stupid mistakes until they are all dead.
This type of movie is a shot in the arm to a genre that needs new ideas…… Now if only those zombies sparkled. (Kidding)
I look forward to the coming new year and all the delightfully horrible zombie movies it will bring. I loves me some “B” movies and Osombie looks like it’s going to scratch that infernal itch.
I love the dark humor of this type of stuff. It helps that I am fairly impossible to offend, but if you love kittens don’t watch the last thirty seconds of this trailer. It will give you the sadness.
Other than that, I must see this movie.
Oh yeah and Happy New Year! This year promises to be better than the last for me and I’ve got a tonne of stuff for the comic I’m working on. New comic going up on Monday already done. Now to get off my but and do more of them.
“Shaun of the Dead” is arguably one of the best zombie movies out there. I had my wife watch it (she doesn’t love horror as much as I do) and she loved it too.
It’s kind of interesting to see the blooper real of this movie. I was hoping these would be more funny, but it was still pretty interesting to watch. They left it open enough they could make a sequel, which I pray for nightly (I also pray for Mt. Dew flavored brownies because it would be awesome). I would kill to see that movie… Yes…. kill.
Caution though: this clip has a lot of “language” in it. You have been warned.
