I think I may have actually used this lie when I was a teenager.

I wish that was a joke. Sadly no. This is the point in my confession that I curl up in the fetal position and weep copious amount of tears.

I’m just about to the end of this story arc for the webcomic…. wow, it’s been too long. I’ll admit I’m still working on my writing and pacing for the strip. I’m looking forward to (Spoilers) getting Lovecraft out of the bucket. Admit it you didn’t see that coming, right?… right?

Yeah…. this picture makes no sense.  I realize that.  It’s just more practice drawing zombie characters for the webcomic.

Eventually my goal is to NOT suck at drawing.  They say it’s impossible to get worse at something you practice at every day.  I hope that’s true.  The main goal of me making this comic in the first place is to keep me continually drawing.

Sure if this webcomic ever makes money that would be nice, and yes I would like to use  it as a stepping stone to my eventual goal of ruling the world with an iron fist and grinding lesser men into the blood caked dust forever crushing their fragile dreams, but for the most part I just like to draw zombies.

Drawing  zombies is fun.

Cracking open the sketchbook.  I’ve been thinking about adding an older character to the cast.   This is MAXIMUS!!! Lord of Destruction!

This is also the part where I pray my Father-in-law has a sense of humor and doesn’t choose to pound me into the ground.

Here’s the last of the character sketches I did back when the webcomic might have been about cute Universal monsters. Thankfully I went with zombies, even more thankfully they aren’t cute.

All that cuteness might have killed me after a while.

And this is how the Richard Moon character joins the cast of my happy little webcomic. Good for him. I’m sure he and Lovecraft will get along splendidly… or they will probably keep trying to destroy each other fooooorrrreeeevvvveeeerrr. I like this character, I envision him as kind of what the “Newmen” character was to “The Sienfeld Show.”

He should be happy. When your nose falls off you no longer have to worry about the vast amounts of terrible smells out there. Personally I envy him….. Not so much the rotting flesh, the Rigormourtes, and craving for human flesh, but not being able to smell things sounds great.

I hate that I have an extremely good sense of smell.

Some of the sketches I’ve been working on for the upcoming Cast page of the Webcomic. These were digitally inked with Illustrator. Really liking the way illustrator makes my line art work. I’ve always had a slight tremmor in my hands, with illustrator I can set the smoothing of my lines to compensate. It makes my linework much smoother and helps me be faster.

With any luck some day this will be a five day a week webcomic. Wouldn’t that be nice.
