The Zombie Nation Webcomic

This is the first zombie illustration for my “Zombie Types” project.

While “Romero” zombies are NOT the first ever zombies, you have to give the man credit for bringing the zombie to prominence in pop culture.

The only part of that has always irritated me about that is so many people think that the “Romero” zombie is the only zombie type.  Anything outside of Romero’s zombie rules gets dismissed as “Not a Zombie”

I favor a more inclusive idea of what is and is not a zombie…. So I came up with my own definition.

1. A corpse reanimated by various means either supernatural or mundane whose body continues to move despite a lack of normal biological function.
2. A living being stripped of it’s will, humanity, and normal behavior by outside forces either supernatural and mundane.
3. A mixed drink made of several kinds of rum, liqueur, and fruit juice.
I’ve got a total of around 15 or so zombie sub-types I’m going to do illustrations for and when I’m done I’ll put them all together as a poster to sell to like minded weirdos like me who like a little variety in their zombies.
