More of my Left 4 Dead Concept Art.  I say concept art rather than fan art as I have successfully deluded myself that the fine people of Valve Software are following my comic to get more and more ideas for zombie bosses for “Left 4 Dead 3.”

My brain is awesome that way, and I am more than happy to oblige them as I know it’s only a matter of time before they swoop down from the sky in a golden chariot, offer me a job, and carry me off to Vegas to become the company’s collective bride.  (….Is ….is that too creepy of a fantasy?  That’s pretty creepy isn’t it?  I was afraid of that.)

This bit of Left 4 Dead concept art is of everyone’s favorite zombified cosplay character.  I can tell you truthfully that if I was playing the game and they had a zombie slave Leia I could never ever bring myself to fire upon her.  I simply have too many years of awkward teenaged hormonal fantasies wrapped up in that image to be able to fight.  I’m afraid this zombie boss would be able to pummel me to death without the slightest bit of resistance.  (That is not a euphemism by the way)  Still as a piece of Left 4 Dead concept art, it was pretty fun to draw.

I’ve been checking out some other “Left 4 Dead Concept Art” online.  You know what I discovered?  If you do a google image search on that term you see a tremendous amount of my zombie comics.  I am ridiculously proud of that.  Also I have yet to receive a Cease and Desist letter or restraining order from Valve software.  I am even more proud of that.

I “choose” to believe that that almost equals approval and/or love.  (I took it to that creepy place again didn’t I?)

I’m always willing to help Valve Software out with more concept art for their next version of “Left 4 Dead”  it’s only a matter of time before they recognize my genius and offer me a job with an outrageous salary and a buxom young assistant… to assist me.  (Clearly I have put too much thought into this fantasy of mine)

I’m really looking forward to the next version of “Left 4 Dead” what Valve is going to do with the new zombie bosses is guaranteed to be awesome.  A good zombie boss can make or break a game like that.

Anyway, Halloween has come and gone and as I was sneaking into my children’s room to steal their candy two things occurred to me.  One, stealing your kids Halloween candy has no dignity and I am officially a bad person, and two, Halloween would have been the ultimate time to have a zombie apocalypse.  Why have I seen no movies where this happened?

So that’s where the idea of zombie trick-or-treaters comes from.  Imagine cute little kids coming to your door, you think nothings wrong, you open the door,  now they are feasting on your brains.  Sounds positive.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got to swipe and handful of fun sized candy bars from my daughter.  I’ll have to console myself and my overwhelming shame with sweet sweet candy.

It’s time once again for my open love letter to Valve Software…..

Dear Valve

I wish to have your collective baby. Knowing that you simply cannot live without my awesome (and unasked for) fan art I have again thoughtfully submitted another zombie boss illustration that you can add to any future version of “Left 4 Dead” you would like.

Please accept this illustration as a simple down payment on the vast amount of artwork I’ll do for you when you hire me at what I can only assume will be a ridiculously impressive salary.
