My children need this

I love zombies with an all consuming passion that goes beyond healthy and makes my in-laws nervous.  It’s what I do, it’s what I love.

Second only to that is H.P. Lovecraft.  This is a great mashup of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The call of Cthulhu” and the style of Dr. Suess.

Awwww Cthulhu is so adorably evil. I just want to give him a big hug… Then probably go insane. It’s nice to see him run amok finally through the comic.

I went to a SciFi convention in Utah this year called “Conduit” it was my first time (Yes they were gentle) and it was a blast. Met some really cool people, hugged a furry (I pretended it wasn’t a dude) and was amazed at some of the Cthulhu products out their.

They had Key Chains of Cthulhu. They had knitted versions of Cthulhu, toys, etc… Anything you could want Cthulhuized!

The place was overflowing with cute and adorable Cthulhus… Cthulhu’s…. Cthulii. What the hell is the plural for Cthulhu anyway?

I wonder what H.P. Lovecraft would have thought about how his creation has integrated it’s way into today’s nerd culture.

It’s just my personal opinion, but I think Cthulhu and zombies are two great tastes that go great together. It’s like chocolate and peanut butter, only rotting flesh and eldritch elder beings of unfathomable evil. That’s close enough right?

I like doing the larger format of the comic, I wish I had the time to do it this way every time, but I still have to get faster. Originally I started this comic to get better at drawing, I hope that’s coming along. I like to flatter myself that the newer comics are better than the old ones.

But still, must get faster.

I spent more time on this comic than I usually do. It had tentacles so I had to do it. Now I command you, LOVE ME. LOOOOOVVVEEEE MMMMEEEEEE!

But not in that slappy awkward way, I’m married.

We approach the end of the comic’s current story arc and as you can see from the comic above it is going to hit the fan. I am looking forward to the ridiculous over the top wanton destruction that will soon come to pass. It’ll be like one of my family reunions but with fewer nasty jello and yam deserts. Honestly Yams? Who eats that crap? Bleaaak!

You can blame H.P. Lovecraft for my love of horrible monster with Tentacles, they run a very close second to zombies on my list of things that I love. I’ve been looking for an excuse to mix Cthulhu Mythos monsters into my zombie comic for a while. Love them so much.

Traditionally it’s always bad when a forbidden ritual goes awry at the last minute. At least for the bad guy who almost always dies a horrible death.

Knowing this you would think the villains would practice those rituals till they knew them backwards and forwards and couldn’t be distracted at the all too critical moment.

I mean just the other day I was summoning an elder God from beyond time and space, you know, just a typical Saturday night when some do gooders broke into my secret mountain fortress and tried to save the world. Well long story short they’re dead now and the whole entire world will shortly be devoured by an angry elder god.

Andy why? Because I was prepared.

I have no idea what these people are saying, but there is a cult, monsters, and Cthulhu shows up in this movie. I want a copy. Give me subtitles or dub it I don’t care but I want to see this.

I happen to love Girl Scout cookies. Especially those chocolate mint ones.

Fair warning, if we meet and you are holding one of those mint chocolate covered morsels… I will knock you down and step over your still twitching body to possess it.

It’s not because I’m a jerk (although my ex-wife would claim otherwise) it’s because those cookies have within them a chemical hold over me the likes of which is hard to describe without the use of a pie chart.

I simply must have them.
