So here’s a useless piece of information about me that you probably don’t know, nor do you really want to know. When I wake up in the morning I am completely incapable of telling the difference between dreams and reality.
Now usually I can shake it off. Once I’ve been awake for a bit I realize that it would be impossible for a naked albino Santa Clause performing Shakespeare to have been in my room. At least I hope that’s the case. The more plausible a dream is the longer it takes me to realize that it’s just a dream. The worst dreams are the ones that are so mundane that I’ll spend days wondering to myself “Did, that happen or did I dream it?” I honestly can’t tell.
Now cut to the other night when I dreamed that my wife was chanting crazy lullabies at me about sacred blood scrolls and how I never really graduated college.
I’ve spent the last two days afraid to ask her about her crazy blood scrolls and bitterly resenting my failure to graduate. None of which was real and it took me this long to figure that out.
Clearly I need to up my meds. But that’s where the idea of this comic came from as well as I changed the direction the story arc was going on.
So if you’re curious where the ideas for the comic come from… It’s sleep apnea.
