Ask Lovecraft is awesome. I just found these and I love this guy. He’s got this great awkward/slightly terrified look that I imagine H.P. Lovecraft would have.
For the record a zombie unicorn would probably be the most deadly creature around…. maybe.

Next to zombies, and I mean right next to them, lovecraftian horror occupies a special place in my heart. I love serious lovecraftian horror and I love the comedic parodies.

Dead Island Riptide trailer is out and once again the people at Deep Silver are trying to make me cry like a little girl…. and it’s working. But for the record I cry like a manly little girl. Lots of chest hair and swearing.
The Dead Island Riptide Trailer is a little less tear jerky this time as there’s less little girl zombie death for me to get choked up on. You may remember their first trailer for Dead Island. It was gut wrenching, especially for me as I’m an over protective daddy to a little girl. Dang kids. But other than that it was really well done.
I didn’t get to play the first Dead Island game as much as I would have liked, but it was fun while I did. I’m glad this zombie game did well enough to warrant a sequel. There are those out there who complain about too many zombie games out there these days. To those people I say… shut up. I love them.
The Dead Island Riptide trailer doesn’t show you too much about the game. Which is a shame as I would like to see how they are handling weapons again. I like crafting weapons for some reason. Still has an island, still has dead people. We’ll have to be satisfied with that for now. If I hear any more rumors I’ll be sure to post about them.

Deep Silver today released a trailer for the next installment in the Dead Island franchise which will be released in 2013.
Furious monsoon rainstorms have laid waste to the island of Palanai in the Banoi archipelago, waters have risen and caused a flood disaster — because of this and the raging zombie invasion, a rescue mission for the survivors seems to be without prospect of success. All hope seems to have been lost for the surviving humans…

“The Good Son” is the sixth volume of the “Rock Band Fights Evil” saga and I’m happy to say David gave me the opportunity to illustrate the cover to for (Yes I draw more than just zombies). Do you see the six pack abs on the main character their? Yep totally a self portrait there. Minus some…padding.
The “Rock Band Fights Evil” story follows a group of damned men/band members on a gritty quest to reclaim their souls from the forces of hell itself. It is pulp fiction at it’s finest.

More custom zombie sketch portraits done this week. I drew these for some super awesome people who had a burning need to see what they would look like as a zombie. And don’t we all? Special thanks to them for letting me post about their portraits.

I love making drawing these. Each custom zombie sketch comes on toned paper and is created with a variety of primacolor pencils and markers. Each one is of course hand done, and completely original. You can specify just how much you want to be zombified. Most people tend to want to be recognizable, however. Weird I know.
I really need to set up a camera or something and start filming me doing these. Whenever I am making these at a convention they tend to draw a lot of people interested in watching how I draw them. Being able to draw and post up some tutorials on youtube would pretty nice.
I’ll do a self portrait soon and see if I can get it up for you all to see. You may have to put up with seeing me get even more gross and disgusting than I already am, but sadly that’s the price you pay.
