Speaking of odd mash-ups that make me giggle like a thirteen year old girl on too much caffiene….. Quirk Books, those saints among men and true humanitarians responsible for giving us “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” have just picked up the rights to “Night of the Living Trekkies” by Kevin David Anderson, GalleyCat reported.
Here’s how Anderson pitched the book:
“It’s Galaxy Quest meets Dawn of the Dead when all hell breaks loose at a Star Trek convention—and the world’s only hope for survival rests in the hands of some very determined fanboys!”
Rekulak explained why Quirk leapt on the project: “I’ve always felt that a giant convention of fanboys (like the San Diego Comic-Con) would be a delightful setting for some kind of genre fiction—mystery, romance, horror, something. Then the manuscript for Night of the Living Trekkies landed on my desk, and I knew I had my book.”
You thought Star Trek nerds were sexy before, well wait till they start smelling bad and making awkward moaning noises…..er… I mean wait till they start smelling worse and making even MORE awkward moaning noises.
(LOL, did you see what I did there… Good hell I’m clever. I love me!….. Yes I know that I suck.)
…. I wonder what the Klingon word for zombie is?
