Last Days On Mars Trailer with possible Martian zombies? Sign me up. This clip looks suitably creepy and scary enough to get my attention. I want to see this. Anything new in the zombie genre can only be a good thing. So lets have some hungry zombies on Mars.
Ruairi Robinson, has made a space movie starring Liev “Sabretooth” Schreiber. Behold, the very first clip from Last Days on Mars.
“A group of astronaut explorers succumb one by one to a mysterious and terrifying force while collecting specimens on Mars.” It’s based on Sydney J. Bounds’ short story The Animators, and centers around the last few days of a six-month Mars mission.
Last Days on Mars screened at Cannes but does not currently have a US premiere date.
Max Brooks discusses World War Z, the movie and it’s not filling me with confidence and hope. If you haven’t read World War Z you really should. Not because you need to be informed about the movie, not because you need to know about zombies, but because it’s just a very entertaining read. It’s a good book and it’s interesting.
When Max Brooks discusses World War Z in this interview I almost get the feeling he knew that there was never any way that his book would be faithfully filmed. And how could it have been. World War Z is basically a series of short stories told after the fact and linked together by an interviewer’s narrative. How can you film that.
Max Brooks discusses World War Z. Max Brooks, zombie expert and author of the bestseller, World War Z, talks about the adaptation of the novel into the movie of the same name starring Brad Pitt with Mansfield University Public Relations Director Dennis Miller. Brooks was at Mansfield University for a speaking engagement on October 22, 2012.
I’m sad now. When Max Brooks discusses World War Z you start to realize how soulless Hollywood is. It doesn’t feel like they give a crap about making good stories. It’s pretty much, “how can we make money and artistic integrity be damned.” Of course the cynic in me thinks Max Brooks new this and sold the rights to World War Z in the full knowledge that his novel would never see life as a movie. He was just selling the name for a fat paycheck.
Knowing that, how do you feel about that? I’ll be honest that strikes me as being just as mercenary and soulless as the Hollywood execs.
Of course if a couple suits walked in and wrote me a massive check so they could take my novel and have there sweaty way would it I would probably do it too. Hint hint, Come on Hollywood! Come give me a check.
R.I.P.D. – Official Trailer showing how our world is always on the verge of being claimed by the living dead. Looks a little “Men In Black” to me but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Don’t lie and say you didn’t like that movie too.
Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.
A new World War Z trailer is out. It shows a lot of scenes we’ve already seen, but for me at least the zombies taking over the plane was new. Worth your eyeball time.
At this point I’ve given up all hope that this will be even remotely similar to the book. I don’t care, I’m just hoping that this will be a good popcorn zombie movie that I can watch and not be ashamed that I’m a zombie fan.
I love me some good zombie westerns, “Gallowwalkers” was all I could find.
Remember when Wesley Snipes used to be cool? I do. Blade, Blade II, and Demolition man. Let us never speak of the abomination that was Blade III, the emotional scars are STILL to fresh.
Well it would seem that Wesley Snipes is working again, because the IRS does not take “I’m Broke” for an answer. And so we have the zombie western extravaganza “Gallowwalkers.”
A cursed gunman (Snipes) whose victims come back from the dead recruits a young warrior to help in the fight against a gang of zombies.
I like the premise of the movie, zombie westerns are a favorite genre of mine. I do get tired of the same old “Infected zombies taking over the world” scenario.
I just hope the movie itself is better than this trailer….. seamed a bit over the top.
What do you get when you cross the zombie apocalypse with Madmaxesque Australian dudes… Wyrmwood that’s what. I may have to give them some of my precious money because I just love the idea of using the zombies as a source of fuel.
Kind of a cool idea, it makes the zombies both a hazard and a resource at the same time.
And now a word from these fine upstanding gentlemen who are trying to make the world a better place through zombie media.
About two years ago my brother and I came up with the idea to meld Mad Max with Dawn of the Dead and make the best zombie film ever produced in Australia. Cut to now and we’re about a third of the way through the film and still going strong.
We’ve assembled a cracking cast & crew of disgustingly talented actors, filmmakers & make-up artists who are all working their guts out in order to deliver a piece of ‘Oz-ploitation’ cult cinema that will sit easily next to the likes of Evil Dead, Bad Taste & 28 Days Later …
Head on over to their site here and throw money at them so I can see this movie made.
Decay (2012), you can watch the full zombie movie right this very second. Weeeee! That beats the hell out of work or hanging out with those pesky “loved ones” you’re always going on about.
Watch this movie and learn why the Higgs Boson particle is going to be the end of us all, not by creating black holes, but by turning us all into zombies. It had to happen somehow.
