The poor captain, he’s a widower, and he’s been at sea for so very long.

There is something deeply satisfying about drawing shoggoths.  Possibly since there’s no set anatomy you can just keep drawing weird shapes and tentacles and it all looks right in the end.

In college I took a “Life Drawing” class.  Sadly I get bored pretty easily and I tended to start adding eyeballs and tentacles to the figures I would draw each day. The person posing as our model each session was not very enthusiastic about my “additions” to her anatomy.

I can’t help but think that it also contributed to my less than awesome grade in that class.  Oh well, it amused me.
