And at last Lovecraft makes the transition from smelly zombie to slightly less smelly living human being. It certainly took the comic a while to get here. But now that we’ve arrived, what now?
I’m about to go see the movie “Warm Bodies” with my wife this weekend. As I understand it a similar transformation happens with the zombie protagonist becoming more human. I kind of like the idea of the area between undead and alive being something of a sliding scale you can go up or down.
I should make a chart and start rating zombie movies as to just how dead the zombies are. From Fulci’s zombies which are barely moving corpses to “Return of the Living Dead” zombies that are smart enough to do your taxes. It would be interesting.
A new World War Z trailer is out. It shows a lot of scenes we’ve already seen, but for me at least the zombies taking over the plane was new. Worth your eyeball time.
At this point I’ve given up all hope that this will be even remotely similar to the book. I don’t care, I’m just hoping that this will be a good popcorn zombie movie that I can watch and not be ashamed that I’m a zombie fan.
Prepare for the Ritual! You’ve got to collect tonnes of weird items, make sure the stars are right, and say the right words. It requires a lot of effort.
Seams like a lot of effort. Maybe that’s why so few slackers ever get one accomplished. If it was easy the planet would be awash with elder gods and disasters of epic proportions.
One day I fear someone’s going to discover an easy to learn and easy to accomplish ritual for summoning something nasty and then we’re all gonna die. That actually sounds like the premise for a fun made for TV movie. Somebody call the Sci-fi channel.
Zombie Tycoon is now out for the Playstation 3 and if you like your zombies a little bit on the silly lighthearted side this is probably the game for you. From this video I have no idea how the game plays, but I have no problem trying to find out.
Through various means I have acquired a Playstation of the third variety and now no longer shake my fists at the heavens when assaulted with platform exclusive titles.

Canada will never become a safe haven for zombies? That is so racist. In that zombies are a race…. and… Canada is planning on discriminating against them. Damn you Canada!
I only say this because the chances of me ending up as a zombie during the zombie apocalypse are nearly %100 and I wouldn’t mind shuffling north when that happens. Now if they won’t let me in I’m going to be horribly disappointed. How am I going to get my socialized zombie medicine and cheap zombie drugs then huh? I ask you.
Kidding aside I’m thoroughly impressed that the Canadian government actually has it in them to make this type of joke. You don’t find that with American politics. I’d give you my opinion of the state of politics in the USA but I swore I wouldn’t discuss politics on my blog. Suffice it to say my opinion of politicians in general could not be more poor.
So here’s to you you crazy Canadians, even though you insist on calling ham “Canadian Bacon” and you insist on calling Hockey a sport you at least have a sense of humor about zombies…. Even if your against them.
