I’m getting ready for Anime Wasabi this weekend so this sketch comic was sadly all I could manage for today. You would not believe how long it takes me to etch mugs.
Speaking of which if you are in the Denver, Colorado area this weekend come out and see me and I’ll draw a picture of you as the living dead.
The Governor: Zombified. I think this would make an excellent fate for the governor. He is a pretty infamous villain who deserves an appropriate fate.
Every zombie story needs a good villain and for the most part they never are zombies. Sure zombies are the omnipresent menace that is setting the course of events into action, but almost always the stories revolve around the humans… The stupid stupid humans, who almost always get themselves killed… because they are stupid.
It happens but it’s pretty rare that a zombie becomes a main character and rarer still that a zombie is the main villain. But just because it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t work.
Come on, Hollywood! I want my zombie villain zombie movie, and if this movie already exists I want to see it.
“Dead Heat” doesn’t count. I’ve seen that already.
I’m always taking the comic to a dark place. A dark dark somewhat deviant place. I swear I need therapy.
Well the boys are currently chasing down Death, and where else would Death be hiding than a Florida retirement home. The zombie apocalypse has come to Florida… in comic form.
Anyone else see the zombie movie “Fido” I loved how they explain the elderly as ticking time bombs just waiting to pass away and turn into zombies. If everyone who dies becomes a zombie you would have to think about that. Sure you love grandma, but if she passes away quietly in her sleep…. You are NOT going to pass away quietly in yours.
That means locked doors and separate beds. That goes for husband and wife too. If your spouse has an aneurism one night, you are going to be his midnight snack. That’s a little bit depressing actually.
Such is life when the dead walk the earth, however.
This is how I picture the future living with Zombie Grandma
#TheUndeading is a pretty cool commercial. I won’t spoil the end of this, but it made me laugh…. and think. Nice way to get your point across in an entertaining way.
We all have to go sometime and this is probably where it’s going to happen for me. Unless I get my wish and I have a heart attack and they find my dead body slumped over my drawing table drawing my last comic.
Honestly that doesn’t sound like a bad way to go. It certainly beats the alternative. Everyone in my family has an annoying tendency to die real real slow. Like over the course of years.
That is going to suck.
On the bright side, when they find my last comic, underneath my ponderous bulk, I bet it’s gonna be about zombies.
Valentine’s day is tomorrow. Just one more day until you can get in trouble with your significant other for screwing up yet another Valentine’s day. Does that sound pessimistic.
Yes, yes it does. Let’s just say that’s from years and years of experience…… I suck.
