My History Teacher Is Rolling In Her Grave
on January 18, 2013 at 3:00 amDo you hear that? That’s the sound of my history teacher rolling in her grave as I’ve taken her entire life’s work studying the culture of ancient Egypt and condensed it all down to “Egypt was full of Furries!”
I’m sure if she were alive now she’d beat the ever love’n crap out of me. That thought amuses me greatly.
In case you are wondering what a “Fursona” is….. look it up. I’m afraid I can’t be responsible for educating you on this subject.
I went to a lot of conventions last year and the amount of people who liked to wear tails and get in touch with their inner animal was impressive. I was also amazed at how many of these furries read my comic. Apparently I’m “Furry approved.”
….Now when I say “Get in touch” I’m not implying anything, okay I might be… Look I’m not going to judge you as I’ve got my own deep dark secrets.

(reads the strip. Cannot stop laughing for 5 minutes. Types comment promptly after.)
fursona is what you look like in the furry community its basically a drawing of yourself as a furry saying this is what i look like as a furry
Challenge accepted. I’ll have to draw my fursona…. in the most ridiculous way possible this weekend.
Ok, research material, yeah, and christmas ideas.

the first link is for the ears.
I went to fandemonium last year and they had something like this. It really freaked my mom out.
And that made me laugh. I love the strangeness of it all.
What tags did you use to post a video?
Good question. Even I don’t know. How did you do that?
Hate to spoil the change at looking smart and all, but all I did was put in the share url from youtube, not the embed, and either WordPress or YouTube did the work. Although if you notice on the first response, only the second link appeared as a video.
Hm… I will have to try this later.
It’s really such a shame that all the ‘responses’ are based on dog behaviour, not cat. For a nation that gave us Maru, you think they’d get it right… Cats swinging their tails is NOT a sign of friendship!
Yes, but the type of girls they are marketing to are like over excited Cocker Spaniel puppies. I see the cat like girl as more subtle, sensual, and so forth, not hyper, yappy, and excitable.
Yes, I would say you are “furry approved” seeing how there are so many zombie apocalypse fans within the furry fandom.
When I read the word “fursona” I instantly thought of the Persona series. One can only imagine how a Persona game would turn out if it were furry themed.(although I’d imagine it would be hilarious)
Stop destroying one of my favorite teenhood games T-T
So, what is the problem? I have a stuffed animal of Bast, the Egyptian goddess of cats on my shelf.
Sadly when I got divorced, my ex-wife took a whole bunch of very cool Egyptian art stuff with her.
On the plus side she never came back so it’s kind of a wash. Still I miss that statue sometimes.
Worst part is, I have no idea where I got it.
I have to wonder how accurate these ‘apps’ are or for that matter how they would work without you constantly pressing a button.
Also I see a slight marketing flaw… popular in japan and some groups …. ehh not so much in the america’s … or anywhere if someone gets one and does somthing creepy with it…. and theirs no shortage of people who will find a way.
