Shane Walsh: The Walking Dead. Let’s be honest you love him, you hate him, you love to hate him.
It’s just one of the things that most zombie shows need. They need a jerk. They need somebody who’s going to create a problem so that eventually all the zombies can come in and kill the humans. After all if all the humans worked happily together and cooperated then the zombies would never have a chance…. That would be boring.
So you need Shane Walsh, every zombie movie, tv show, or zombie comic needs a Shane to keep the carnage going.
I thought about this when making my zombie comic. Who was going to be “The Jerk?” Then I realized that all my characters were jerks… I like to think of them as lovable jerks though.
I agree. They’re the “average jerk”, that kind you to count yourself to as well, if you are honest.
Great soil for comedy, though.
I’m of the school of thought that says a man isn’t worth dating unless he has a significant percentage of rat-bastard in him. On the other hand, a guy who’s just a jerk is annoying. Moon’s a jerk, but in context he’s amusing. The bros have enough rat bastard to be appealing, in their own clueless way.
But any guy who encourages his young ones to watch zombie movies at an early age definitely qualifies as proper material.
Lol I do aspire to be the proper level of jerk that achieves maximum amount of attractiveness to the opposite sex.
