Baron Samedi would be the big guy there, named of course after the Loa from the Voodoo religion. I like Voodoo…. well more to the point I like the idea of voodoo. A magic/religious practice that I don’t really understand but makes for some of the best movies and stories. Yes please.
It also has the benefit of bringing about the origins of the zombie and that is kind of my favorite thing. Gee thanks, Voodoo!. I owe you one.
Actually I would really like to go down to New Orleans some day and go on some of the graveyard tours and actually check out some practicing voodoo. I’m a nerdy tourist that way.

He looks like that guy from the princess and the frog
That would be because that guy was also dressed up to look like Baron Samedi.
Ha ha ha , it’s not pee
He’s a zombie, technically it could be all sorts of horrible fluids and/or solids. Possibly gasses as well.
we all know what it was
That would be all sorts of awesome. Carter I like this new character I do hope he doesn’t die too quickly…. speaking of characters and a regular cast you should update your cast list/page with new characters and new pictures. Your drawing skills have much improved since you first made that page
I know I need too, and thanks for the complement. I may have to clone myself to get all the things done I need too.
On the plus side, that would be one devastatingly handsome clone.
I know you’ll get to it. But I’ll still remind you from time to time.
pft thats no compliment that’s the truth. You’ve gotten better in both drawing and plot
Strictly technically speaking (and we know how loose technicalities are in this webcomic
), Baron Samedi would have little power over a Romero style zombie, and even less over a sapient one like Lovecraft. But projecting the presumed power of Baron Samedi over the zombies here, we could assume that he had abilities such as commanding the undead, returning the undead to their full dead state, and mystically “pulling” on the soul of a living person, causing them to believe they were dying, and possibly even making them swoon.
In short, he could be a major threat to the zombies. So if we assume that the good Baron didn’t inspire fear in Lovecraft, we have to consider what Austin Powers asked so well:
“Do I make you horny, baby? Yeah!”
Austin Powers was very wise. Also Baron Samedi could… and will introduce a major plot point into the comic soon. Something I’ve wanted to do for a while.
Oh crap! I should have said Spoilers! I’d edit this comment but… I’m sleepy.
Don’t worry. Your secret is safe with the Baron. He hasn’t told us… yet.
