I went to a SciFi convention in Utah this year called “Conduit” it was my first time (Yes they were gentle) and it was a blast. Met some really cool people, hugged a furry (I pretended it wasn’t a dude) and was amazed at some of the Cthulhu products out their.
They had Key Chains of Cthulhu. They had knitted versions of Cthulhu, toys, etc… Anything you could want Cthulhuized!
The place was overflowing with cute and adorable Cthulhus… Cthulhu’s…. Cthulii. What the hell is the plural for Cthulhu anyway?
I wonder what H.P. Lovecraft would have thought about how his creation has integrated it’s way into today’s nerd culture.
Cthulhu=awesome. insaneified Cooper=funny. And this probably will be the point where Lovecraft’s cover is blown, if Cooper ever recovers from being driven insane that is.
Plushies and an attempt @ a musical…. I’ve listened to the whole thing I would have had a hard time sitting through the actual show and not laugh manically. Also the carolers(sp?) Listened to those as well and am teaching to my daughters… ah christmas caroling will never be the same.

Yes, Lovecraft’s cover will be blown eventually. But honestly I have left Cooper’s reaction to it open. I haven’t decided on how I want her to handle it.
Perhaps she’s just been driven insane enough to want to date a zombie, maybe not…… Hmmmmmmmm. I’ll have to think about it.
Of course we were gentle. We like zombies and comics…and therefore people who draw zombie comics.

Hehe yeah it wasnt so bad at conduit. I had a lot of fun there and it was awesome to see so much nerdfandom there. Heh… I love how coopers already praising cthulhu. At least shes not running that would only draw attention to her and cthulhu can eat 1d6 investigators per round
She’s made of stern stuff, it will take a while for Cthulhu to drive her insane.
I actually really like her character. She’ll be showing up in future story arcs.
I had a picture entitled “Cthulhuachu” which was a cross between Pikachu and Cthulhu; with the byline “So adorable, you’ll go insane”, but I can’t find it anymore, on my computer, or online.
Pity.
Hmm. I wonder if they make Cthulhu Hallowe’en costumes for cats…?

If you think he looks bad now, imagine Cthulu wearing a yellow polkadot bikini. There was an anime that I saw of him in the 1990′s with him wearing the yellow polkadot bikini and surfing. Of course the cultists who summoned him, proceded to kill themselves from the horror of Cthulu wearing a bikini. The other Elder Gods on the beach insisted he go put on some swim trunks and a t-shirt. Something about Cthulu wearing a bikini was apparently even too much for his own Spawn.
