The Enhanced: The Cybernetic / Nanobot Zombie Type
on November 12, 2010 at 5:00 amIt was pretty hard finding examples of this type of zombie. Not the most popular of zombie breeds these days.
I had to go back to the wonder and glory that is my youth to find examples that qualified as this zombie type. Does anyone even remember the movie “Deadly Friend”? Good crap I’m old.
Before you write me about “Return of the Living Dead 3 and 4″ being examples of this zombie type. Sorry they are caused by Trioxin and turned into cyborg zombies after the fact. I would love to count them, but I’m looking for the root causes of zombiism with this project….
…also wow, “Return of the Living Dead 4″ was a turd of a movie. I felt dumber…. more dumberer after watching that movie.

This is officially the most awesome looking zombie ever imagined!
I would love to meet her in L4D. I wouldn’t survive her, but – DUDE!
That’ll be in the upcoming L4D-X Zombies in Space… Like when Jason went there…
I could never bring myself to watch Rotld 3 or 4. The first 2 were enough for that sillyness.
I’ll stick with the classics and for a good laugh “Children shouldn’t play with dead Thing” I loved the joke the movie started out with, freakin hilarious… then just kinda freakish. But the joke makes the movie worth it…. then I do have a dark sense of humor.
K I totally take back my babbling about Marcus being an experimental type..he’s definitely this type.
Bah I keep trying to think of other examples off the top of my head, but I keep thinking up evil robots, not zombies.
what about when optimus prime gets himself dead..and brought back to life (and I’m speaking of the first Gen cartoon and 1980s movie..not the new movies)….no? damn
See I still don’t think Marcus would qualify as a zombie. He’s still biologically alive, and has a will of his own. I’m going to have to rent that to make sure.
This subtype of zombie is pretty rare I think. I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a pie chart showing the percentages of each zombie subtype.
But going through every zombie movie and story would take weeks if not months or years… I’m pretty obsessive compulsive about zombies, but not “That” much.
Hecter, when Jason goes to space, I laughed so hard at that movie. Especially the scene in the “Holodeck”.
Cyrian, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate that.
I’m still trying to get better at this with each comic.
You’re welcome, I’m just sincere. When I got up today, I had no motivatio to do my college work or anything and then that comic got me started.
It’s cool that you still aim for improvement, keep that attitude.
Yes, I’m motivational! Take that, mean guidance councilor. I did so amount to something.
Deadly Friend, now that brings back good memories. Sometimes I miss the 80′s.
The tech Zombie of yours is a great image as well. Hot and deadly lol.
She is a good example of mad science gone bad. Heck, she’s even worse than the super soldier zombies just because she has a laser cannon for an arm.Who wants to fight something with a laser cannon for an arm?
I briefly thought about the Borg from Star Trek, but quickly dismissed it since they are still alive.
Santo there’s nothing wrong with living zombies. Haitian zombies are alive after all. They’ve just had their will taken from them.
I would call the Borg zombies except that they do have a will and motivation of their own.
Fijiman, forget the laser arm, I’m worried about the claw hand!
Maark30, the 80′s was the best decade for horror. For some reason those ten years gave birth to some of the scariest and most memorable moment in movies.
Hmm, got a point there with the Borg Carter. Borg have a hive mind thing going and a few are given greater thought leverage such as Loquitis if I recall correctly. Also the fact if you can isolate one it can be reverted.
Marcus? Is that the human/robot/demon thing from Buffy during the Initiative arc?
Marcus is from Terminator: Salvation. Which is currently on it’s way to my house via Netflix. Yeah Cyborgs!
