You ever see that movie or read the book, “Misery” by Steven King? It’s the story of a writer who has some crazy obsessed fan nursing him back to health and then very bad things happen.
That movie left an impression on me. Just the other week I had a cold and sneezed. When my wife said “Bless you” I’m not ashamed to admit I wet myself and screamed like a little girl (A very manly little Girl for the record).

She thinks I’m weird, I think anyone trying to make you feel better is just waiting till your vulnerable so they can “Getch ya!”

Oh, remember the play I mentioned I was working on? Well, today was the last day and it went almost perfect. What went wrong was that the main part of the set, which is able to turn around, broke off the pivot point and it took like half an hour to fix. But other than that it was great and I’m glad it’s over.

Actually I noticed that women look better with their noses so I let them keep it. It’s completely arbitrary I admit, that there you go.

To be completely honest I never set out to copy that joke, but yes they are very similar. I had completely forgotten about that Futurama episode till after the comic was posted. Alas there is really nothing new under the sun. I’m sure it won’t be the last time I make a joke that’s been made before.
Penny Arcade did a version of this joke as well… there’s was better than mine I have to admit though.
