The Damned: The Religion Zombie Type

I chose to do a “Voodoo” zombie for today’s comic as just doing a “Hell’s full” zombie doesn’t really look any different from the “pop culture” zombie. I needed something very distinctive for the “religious” zombie type.
Plus have you seen that movie “The Serpent and the Rainbow”? Awesome! I find Voodoo both scary and fascinating in equal measures. Plus it’s fun to draw.
SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE:
Because the Internet is full of overly touchy people with too much time on their hands.
This is not the venue to share your religious beliefs or the lack thereof. I assure you, I just don’t care… No really, I don’t. I just want to talk about zombies.

Yes, I have a mountain of irrefutable proof that undeniably proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that my view is 100% right, and if I were to even let you glimpse it’s radient glory you would be converted instantly to my way of thinking…

Official trailer for Helsinki International Film Festival 2010.
The Story of a zombie, turning into a man. He goes on a journey to find a mystery-woman he saw in a disturbed video clip….. And then he makes out with her.
I see this as proof positive that the desire to make out can bring people back from undeath, and give them the strength to overcome incredible odds as long as there’s a cute blond at the end of it.
Seriously though, I like the sets for this short film, very apocalyptic. And the zombies going about their daily lives is particularly awesome to me.
I was looking around for more tutorials on how to zombify yourself with photoshop and found this video tutorial.
Pretty nice, he uses a whole bunch of splatter and textured paintbrushs, which is something that I haven’t done. I think I’ll start though.
This should come in handy while I’m making zombifying my kids pictures…. I’m a good dad.

Sorry, unavoidable crap came up last night. And I couldn’t finish the comic in time to post.
I swear it’ll be up Friday and it will be so awesome it will cure your various illnesses and make you fabulously wealthy just by gazing upon it’s loveliness.

I love this new trend of making trailers for books, I’ll probably pick this one up. One question though, when you put this much effort into your trailer for a book…. Why not just make it a full blown movie.
I’ll watch it I swear… here, I have money. Let me give it to you in exchange for silly entertainment.
On a side note, did anyone else get a little anxious when they saw the girl in the green body paint….
Damn You Star Trek!!!… You’ve given me a fetish for green women!
And I don’t think my wife’s going to help me out with that one.
