Mervac, sure zombies feel pain. Best example of that would be “Return of the living Dead” the survivors capture a zombie who talks and reveals that the reason the zombies eat brains is to stop “The pain of being dead.”
They can feel themselves rotting, and they don’t like it.
Matt, I’m not sure it’s unwinable, but for the sake of the comic it’s always going to be a pretty even battle. Could go either way.
