I was looking around for a couple of tutorials on photoshoping people as zombies and found this.
Sure the original photo of the kid is already horrifying, but I thought this was well done. All except for the annoying screen recorder text over the whole thing. Nice music though.
Now that I’ve signed on my house I’m disturbingly obsessed about keeping children off my new lawn.

That’s why I’m really looking forward to the coming zombie apocalypse when I can finally LEGALLY shoot all the zombie children on my lawn. I bet it will extremely cathartic.
Today’s zombie webcomic makes me giggle….. and yearn for the day I can get rid of those little zombie brats in a socially acceptable way.

Yes this is a trailer for this guy’s funny zombie book, but here at “The Zombie Nation” Webcomic I’m all about promoting things that I deem to be awesome.
I feel like I should give this book to my children so that they too can know the wonder and joy of being a horrible smelly undead abomination forever damned to walk the blasted earth eternally searching for the flesh of the living.
Kids love that stuff.
Here’s my next project. I’m attempting to classify the various subspecies of zombies (Both alive and undead) found in movies and literature. I plan on making a comic showing my cartoon version of each of these “Zombie Types” then compiling them into a poster I can take to cons and the like. I came up with fifteen broad categories of zombie subtypes.
Yes I could have broken these out to about a million but I just can’t draw that many zombie types, so I’m sticking with fifteen.
I wanted to throw this out to the zombie community and see what you guys thought. Feel free to debate what is or is not a zombie… but if Stephanie Myer can call a Glittery Heart Throb a vampire, we should be able to be pretty broad in classifying what a zombie is too.
Feel free to make your suggestions, add examples of movies/literature where different types of zombies exist, or just tell me I suck.
Zombie Subspecies Classification Project
Biological Zombies
- Pathogens (Viral, Bacterial, Alien. 28 Days, Resident Evil)
- Mutations
- Parasites/Symbiotes (Fungus, Plants, Alien Spores…. Ect…)
Metaphysical Zombies
- Magic (Black Magic, Curses, Necromancy, Pure willpower/rage “Creepshow“)
- Religious (Voodoo, God did it, The Devil did it, Hell’s full, ect…. Fulci’s “City of the Living Dead”, “White Zombie”)
- Hypnosis/Mind Control

This is totally a work in progress, but if you’d like to help with ideas and examples/movies and books where a zombie type is used I’d appreciate it.
Poor Leela should have controlled her temper just a bit better. She should have known better than to engage in hand to hand combat with zombies.

I’ve done a bunch of these Futurama Undead Webcomics now. I think I’ll do Nibbler next.
There’s a good question, Nibbler can eat anything, but zombies are basically spoiled meat walking…. What would that do to him? If the zombie outbreak is Viral in nature it’s even worse as the meats infected.
More importantly when he craps out a chunk of Dark Matter after eating a bunch of zombies would that Dark Matter have any sinister properties?
See the questions that come up when you’re drawing a zombie webcomic are almost as much fun as the comic itself.

Rockstar Games is adding four new downloadable expansions to their hit game, Red Dead Redemption. The “Nightmare Pack” is described as “Ghost towns and cemeteries come alive in a West gone horribly wrong.”
See, there is no part of that statement that doesn’t make me giggle like a little girl. (A very manly little girl though… so manly)
The “Undead Nightmare Pack” will have new single player quests, but also up to 8 new zombie characters for mulitplayer. Nice.
