Wow, The Lost Boys, huh? Well I have fond memories of the first movie…. when I was a kid.
Then I saw the Awful sin against nature that was it’s misbegotten sequel. Months of therapy later I don’t weep for my lost childhood anymore.
The thankless life of a vampire hunter has taken its toll on Edgar Frog. After losing best friend and fellow vamp fighter, Sam, he has started to let himself slide. He’s down to selling his prized comic book collection just to pay rent on a decrepit trailer when stunning vampire novelist Gwen approaches with an offer. She needs him to find her brother who has gone missing after getting sucked into a series of underground raves, called ‘The Gathering,’ held by an enigmatic spinner named DJ Dusk.
So now there’s a third “Lost Boys” movie. Judging from this clip it looks like they’ve been watching Blade a few to many times. We can all pray it wasn’t that third crappy one with Ryan Renolds.
We don not speak of that movie… ever. It burns us.
This is a great interview with Gareth Edwards, the Indie film maker behind “Monsters.” “Monsters” will be coming out this fall.
I really liked what he said about being able to make films these days, the cost if done right comes way down, which opens the doors to way more creators.
Sometimes I feel Hollywood is insane, they spend millions on movies that have the crappiest stories. It’s refreshing when someone shows up and makes an amazing film for very little.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Gareth Edwards Monsters, will be such a movie.
Filmmakers: Best Buy ran this interview with Gareth Edwards today; he’s the man behind the festival fave Monsters which is hitting theaters later this year through Magnet Releasing. The film is set six years after Earth has suffered an alien invasion and it follows a cynical journalist who agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through an infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border. If it makes you feel any better, being a zombie head in a jar is probably better for Professor Farnsworth than say… getting shot in the head by Bender.
Maybe they will feed the Professor some Torgo’s Executive Powder to help with the cravings for human flesh.
This video by College Humor raises so many questions, if your bit by a Nazi zombie do you become just a zombie, or are you a Nazi zombie? How about if your already a zombie but your bitten by a vampire… Do you crave brains or blood? Or do you say screw it, I just want a Whopper?

Look at these pictures, they are disgusting… I love it. I blogged earlier about AMC releasing some zombie images, but I didn’t think they would release more so soon.
Looks like they are gearing up the hype machine for this Zombie Drama, but after these picts I can’t complain. Mainly because judging from these it looks like they are taking this seriously.

Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth installment in the zombie apocalypse franchise, and my new reason for existing, will be out in theaters Sept. 10.
This version of zombie destroying mayhem will come out in 3D and is reportedly shot with the same cameras used by Avatar. (Sadly Milla Jovovich will not be ten feet tall or blue, and you will NOT be able to have ponytail sex with her) I know that many of you are very disappointed by that.
