How To Draw Zombies by Michael Butkus and Merrie Destefano

I picked this awesome book up, “How To Draw Zombies” by Michael Butkus and Merrie Destefano from Barnes and Nobles and just poured over it for a ridiculous amount of time.
One of the main reasons for starting this webcomic about zombies in the first place was to motivate myself to draw every day…. And of course to take of over the world, crushing lesser men beneath me, and to hear the lamentations of their women. This book had a wealth of tasty information that I hope to apply to my own art.
…Not so much cartoon wise, but I like my Friday Sketch strips to be a bit more horrifying.
If your at all interested in trying your hand at drawing shambling hordes of the restless hungry dead, you should pick this up. But get it at Amazon, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than I got it for.
Course if you buy it online, you won’t be able to hang out at the B&N Cafe and look all cool and junk while you partake of their tasty beverages… The choice is yours.

Quick question for Zombie Carter; Can a vampire feed off a zombie?
Mike, a vamp feeding off a zombie would be a little like eating jerky when you’re dying of thirst….lol
This book is the Bomb, I agree! Lovely, dark imagry and Merrie’s writting puts the icing on the zombie cake (which, surprisingly, tastes much beter than it sounds). I’m SO looking forward to the vamp book! Yay!

Wow, thanks, Mike. That means a lot to me. I’ll second that about looking forward to the vampire book. In fact I think I’ll call my store and see if I can pre-order it to make sure I get a copy.
As for if a Vampire can feed off a zombie, I’d say yes, but since the blood’s probably pretty congealed, that vampire is going to really have to suck hard to get it out. That’d have to be one desperate vampire.
P.S. Wow, Mike, just wow. Your art is phenomenal. I am awed. I feel like genuflecting like in “Wayne’s World” and in a loud voice shouting “We’re not worthy!”
Zombie Carter, we all genuflect around Mike. He’s that awesome talented. But somehow, he’s still really nice and fun. Even though he knows monsters inside out.
